A duffel bag, also known as a gym bag, is a cylindrical bag carried over the shoulder, made from canvas or similarly rugged materials. It can be closed with a drawstring or zipper. Older military-style designs historically had a single closure on one end; modern variants tend to have zippers along the length of the top and may have multiple compartments for easy storage.
