A Soviet semi-automatic gun chambered for the 7.62×39mm rifle cartridge, designed in 1943 by "Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov":https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergei_Gavrilovich_Simonov. Its gas-operated mechanism is resembles a scaled-down PTRS-41.
