An indoors facility with a large open sports court where sports are played, such as basketball (sport), indoor volleyball (sport), or wrestling. Physical education classes are held here in schools, and if equipped with a stage or bleachers also school assemblies. An attached or nearby gym storeroom is used to store equipment when not in use. Also applies to similar sports halls at leisure centers.
