Mario_(series) character first appearing in Yume Koujou: Doki Doki Panic, then later incorporated into the Mario franchise proper with the international version of Super Mario Bros. 2. Birdos were a reoccurring mid-boss and subordinate of Wart_(mario) during the attempted conquest of Subcon. Since then however the species has become overall less antagonistic and much more friendlier.
